Id say the blade 400 with that budget. You really need to know that the term RTF, if you are smart, is a misnomer. You'll need to really go over the heli out of the box to make sure it was built right. With loctite and CA in all the right places, screws tight on and on.
Dont believe its RTF.
Why the 400? Lots of folks fly it, parts are in almost any RC store and its better than the others listed, IMO

Fboss is right the eflight would be the way to go because of the parts availability in most any lhs. I got the Blade 400 on suggestion from our local heli guy that and the price was hard to beat considering. There's no doubt in my mind that it's not ready to fly out of the box either. I got a MSR to fly while I use the sim for CP training. The little bird was way out of trim and very unstable for a RTF. I have 200 flights on it now and only broke 1 set of grips and skids. Cured the grips with a billet set from Cusker and started using the DX6i for better feel. Weather permitting I'll get some stick time with the 400 this weekend. We went over every part of the 400 and made the necessary corrections so hopefully the first flight will be good.

That Esky is pretty darn impressive for the price. I may have considered that if I had known about it before buying my 400. a bit cheaper too.

Ya but my decision was made with parts availability in mind and my lhs has all of the eflite line plus a few others of the more popular and expensive manufacturers. The DX6i was a bonus for me as it will be used for my planks when I out grow it's usefulness in my little heli world which will be a while cause I'm still on the sim and my MSR. We finished inspection/setup on my 400 late last nite and, my local heli guy said it was close, not close enough for my skill level though. Oh well maybe I'll get a little CP time when it gets warmer outside.
