I have some spektrum H5000 servos on my trex 500, work great. Compare them to the align servos, specs and shape of case are the same. Might be made by the same factory??

Can they be run on an 8v setup for additional speed? I like the price of these versus the JR 8717 or the 8917's!! $80 per servo versus $200 per servo is a no brainer!!

Even if they are made by the same Mfg. as Align servos, with the Spectrum nameplate, you will get serviceFly with scheduled ground contact !

Have 3 on my fury extreme, can't wait until mother nature lets me try them. The torque looked good for FBL. Will see how good the centering is.

I couldn't find very many reviews or anybody that has a video of them flying the above mentioned servos. I think I am going to pick up a set of them and try them out!!

the feedback i got from my LHS was that even with power on them they had play in them. he said "their sopposed to be digital, their not sopposed to move, but a guy had them and had some play around center"

is that true or not? im getting a set of servos to get away from the futaba 9001. im either going to get spectrum or align.

which one?

I agree!! I don't want to buy $240 worth of servos if they aren't going to perform as expected!! I can't find any video of anybody using them or any reviews by pilots that have used them!!

I have it on good authority that these are made by Savox the same as the Aligns. Read here [url=http://rc.runryder.com/t571797p1/?p=4722023#RR]Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a GIFT

As I stated before, have a new set of the 6040's. They don't have any play on the bench. Don't know what will happen when I start flying them.

So let me ask this then. I have the 9452's on my Trex 600N and they are great servos but they just aren't quick enough for my flying style. Would the 6040's make the machine considerably faster on the cyclic to justify the expense? I am not looking for Tareq quickness but I want something faster than the 9452's.

What do you mean by not quick enough ?
Roll/flip rate too slow or collective response slow?
For roll and flip rate changing servo will not help but only for start and stop acceleration. I would say initial bite.

For collective, then it is important but you can increase pitch range, change blades like torsion that are greath for that. Check your power supply to servos. 6 volts on a regulator.

Maybe you know all that. After testing servo myself I found that as soon as the servo is faster than 0.12s/60deg. the heli fly really good. Twice that fast you can feel a difference but for me this is small and not worth it.

The specks state 6V. I just got a set of 3 from Helidirect for $219 thats not bad for 0.08 second transit time with 167 oz-in of torque,Dual ball bearings,Coreless motor, aluminum case and Titanium gears. Thats very good for the price I think.
