3D Long term Blade 400...
I hit 300 flights this afternoon on my fully stock never crashed (just jinxed myself) Blade 400 3D...

Other than new o-rings every 60ish flights (with one extra washer each side) and a new tail rotor belt to go in when I get a chance she's all stock.

I love this little heli!

Wow I've crashed mine 17 times but I did learn to fly it. It's been the best thing ever. I don't think I'd be flying my 600 without it.

What's your "secret"?
WOW! That's GREAT Warren! 300 flights and never crashed the B400! Could you share your "secrets" for achieving this landmark and/or offer tips, especially for us newbies? Thanks! I am considering getting a Phoenix simulator and Blade 400 for my first bird. Then following Radd's School of Rotary Flight going through it first with the simulator.

Congrats on that many flights without a crash!! That is something to be proud of.
Especially with a B400.
Either your not pushing the little bugger or you lucked out and got the most reliable b400 ever.
My servos didn't last very long before one of them locked up in flight resulting in a flipping landing which consequently stripped the other 2.
Walk on water long enough, eventually you will get your feet wet.

Sorry Ted - I don't get on much - Burnt out a bit after being a rep over the last 25 years with Miniature, Century, Mikado and Hirobo...

I have 417 flights now on the stock Blade - All still original except for the batteries and dampners. Just general preventative maintenance.

If you sport fly and don't crash it - She'll last.- My hardcore 3D days are past - I enjoy a smoother artistic pattern now whether upright, upside down, forward or backwards and am not into the pumping quick-stop stuff.

I'm getting old...

Love my blade 400 great dependable flyer flew mine for a long time with only a couple slight mishaps.I was finally talked into upgrading servos and gyro is it any better than before hard to tell. Mine flew great with all the stock components was cheaper. one of the best heli fliers at my club commented on how good my b400 flew while still in the stock configuration . Sure i have other helis align century and eflite all have their merits and times fly on have a great daywife says if i'm going to be an addict at least its to a heli

Treated her to some new servo gears to get rid of some slop, some new Turnigy 2200's, a new tail belt, new o-rings and a good cleaning and re-lubing all around...

540 flights down...

Cool Warren.

Don't let him fool you guys - He flys pretty hard for an old fart

And he's won two 3-D events with his stock cheap-ass little heli...

Good on you! You obviously don't fly hard if you haven't crashed. Unless I have a mechanical problem, my crashes usually result in pushing the envelope.
ya i just moved up to the 450 pro and im not that impressed thinking i might go back to a blade 400 very reliable heli and never had any prolems with it.
I did the same and don't understand how you could say that? My 450 Pro flies so much better and does piros without dropping the tail.

I've been flying helicopters since 1979 - I only crash when it's a mechanical or electronics issue now.

I know my limitations...
