Predator Condor cooling fan and governor magnets?
Just curious; does the fan included with the Century Condor kit have governor magnet holes pre-drilled? What's the general consensus on the best governor for the Condor? I'm not familiar with the GV-1... does it need a Futaba radio, or will it work fine with an Airtronics RDS8000?

Thanks!

The fan has holes for you to install the magnets...

I'm sure the airtronics radios will fly the machine

Sorry - should have been clearer. I meant to ask whether or not the Futaba GV1 required a Futaba transmitter and receiver in order to take full advantage of its features, OR if the GV1 would also work flawlessly with an Airtronics setup.

GV1 should work fine with that radio, I have the 72Mhz version, RD8000. Unfortunately that radio is pretty limited from the governor function though you can get a bit fancy with one of the custom mixes to produce different RPM settings in different flight modes.

My Predator fan and shroud does have the governor magnet holes in there but personally I wouldn't do that. There are several writeups and youtube videos showing how guys have pointed the sensor at the magneto, no magnets to worry about.
