my hyper ran decently for me for around 15 gallons, last fall something chipped inside and sent medal shards through the engine. I am pretty good at tuning and I have never abused it and I called up hobby services and I think that is some of the worst customer support I have ever had for anything. They were rude, insulting and completely unhelpful people. it took over an hour on hold, and talking to three different people just to get them to honor their warranty. I have seen so many issues with hype rs and there are plenty of threads here on RR about their pitiful CS. I am really burnt on OS and will probably not buy another one. even with all the os engines around I very seldomly here of someone that has had good success with one.

The OS50 Hyper has been *the* most popular 50 engine for years, so you have to factor in that +/- 90% of the 50 size heli engines purchased over the last 3 years has been the OS50 Hyper when running these types of statistics.
Futaba use to be the radio of choice, things change. OS has been trying to make a pumped engine for 25 years and still doesnt have one that works consistantly. YS is more durable than the OS,and hold the power longer than OS. Dont know why anyone would want a motor that pumps burnt oil and exhaust into the fuel tank..
