My advice?

Save up $500 and come back then. 200 bucks is going to only get you into a RTF type bird that will make you more frustrated than happy, unless you can find one hell of a deal on used equipment.

Good luck!

Invest in a good sim.

$200 is not gonna get you much at all.

If you want anything thats good quality for outside better figure on about $500.00 minimum. Yes there are a few cheaper ways you could go but your'll just end up with cheap. You will get what you pay for in this hobby.

Oh and by the way, please stop yelling by turning the caps lock off.

Agreed with all said. I'll add that most anything that I know of will not fly well outside either.

$200 will get you a Blade CX2. That was my first heli. I loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I bought a 450V2 about three months later.

With $200 as your budget, I'd say go with something in the CX2 class or a simulator or both if you can swing it. Buying any ccpm heli out of the gate - even if you can find one, would be a mistake in my opinion. Odds are it would be grounded within the first five minutes for one reason or another.

Good luck!

I say get a Blade MSR, and download a cheap sim off the internet..When you can hover on the sim, take the MSR up. The MSR will acctually teach you how to fly and is quite stable..Not to mention it doesnt have the FF problems the co-ax helis have. But if you can get a co-ax cheap then theres still nothing wrong with that.

That'll get your foot in the door and will make up your mind if this is your kind of hobby. Also I recommend going to a flying field and watching others fly, just absorb the experiance because if you stick with it those are the helis you will be flying, and the people you will be hanging with.

I think you can get an E-sky co-ax heli with a sim for around $150.

Truth be told, this is a very expensive hobby. I put it up there with owning a boat on the lake that will carry real people. In fact, my boat has cost me less in the past 3 years. This is not a hobby like woodworking or model trains. This hobby starts and runs in the thousands of dollars, Dont be fooled, once the vacuum starts its hard to plug.Clint

None of those are $200 birds.

Dilbeck is right. I've easily spent $30k in the past three years (not bad for 14 helis). If I had it to do over again I'd start with a cheap nitro 50 and fly it until it fell apart. Then maybe just upgrade it. A Trex 600N or Outrage Velocity 50 would be great for that. But either of those would still set you back $1000-1600 - even used!

I fly electric and $250 pays for a somewhat decent power supply. My charger cost me $360. Don't mean to discourage you, but $610 out of the door and I haven't started talking lipos for the electric heli

If your budget is only $200, you need to find another way to do your sight seeing. This hobby is not in your budget.

Unfortunatly $200 will not buy a heli that will support aerial photography. Not to discourage but if you want to get in and just have fun then go for a co ax or small Blade and learn and have fun and figure out if this is something you want to do. I have been flying, or trying to fly for about a year and still am not ready to try my hand at aerial photography even though that is my goal. It is alot harder than it looks. But you will have a blast if you jump in!!! And everyone on here is a great asset to help out.
