To be clear, the default cord they send will work with Spektrum/JR 2.4 ghz radios. It's the connector that looks like a patch cord so it may or may not work with other Spek/JR radios too. I don't know.

If you have a Futaba or any other radio, you let them know, and they'll charge $5 or something (I think?) for an adaptor to use with your particular radio.
If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

So, if I order the cable with futaba connector, can I use the RF radio, with the phoenix simulator, instead of using my real futaba radio?
Thanks!

I still use G3.5. I tried later versions and they just don't seem to have the same feel that the older G3.5 does...Jamie Robertson

I have Real Flight 3.5 the best IMO. I have tried Phonix and the Physics are all wrong IMO for example Phonix wont do an inverted auto try it and let us know. Unless we didn't have it set up right. Phonix just doesn't feel Real to me. My two cents.

I have done inverted autos on Phoenix.
It gives you the ability to edit the model.
You can get it to fly exactly how you want it to, but you may have to tinker with it.
Fly with scheduled ground contact !

I prefer Phoenix. I currently have G3.5, G5, Reflex and Phoenix. I own and fly trex 250, 500, 600. Phoenix is close as you can get. I have done inverted autos with out any issues.

Phoenix, Multipalyer, models , free everything, constant upgrading to make the product even better, does not require super computer, your controller, and you don't have to hit that silly little reset button after you crash. This pole has been taken multiple times, and RF has lost by a wide margin everytime! Just do a topic search you will see for yourself.

Autos imo are one of the big ADVANTAGES that Phoenix has over RF of any version. Yes, you can do autos both inverted and upright and the physics for them are much better than RF. In 4.5 you could go as high as you want, kill the motor, set the collective to neutral and watch the heli float safely to the ground. I'm serious.. Try it! Not very realistic. If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

I have found there are die hard belivers in what ever they have is the best.
Take the opion of people who own both, as they are the yardsticks that sims should be evaluated by.
