Melnic WC, I comment on other videos I see as well, frequently but not every time.
I'm 44 and I have been flying RC planes since 1989 and RC helicopters since around 1992.

I'm not a youngster, and i'm no NOOB.

It's good that your getting more safe, keep thinking safety for not just yourself but others as well as public & private property.

Working on your hovering skills is a very appropriate type of flying to do in that park IMHO.
will do melnic your a awesome good guy and i will use the advice that you good men are giving me .

wish more forums would have good men and mentors like you guys.
toolman18 I think you put me on ignore by mistake.

Hope i dont wreck this thing.
your a mighty good man toolman and i would be a horrible person to ignore such a scholar and a gentlemen and mentor and pilot like your self .

1000 apologize i was trying to add you as a buddy

I think that park in your videos is fine for flying a Trex 450 or 500, after all thats the whole point of a 450.

Just have to keep a sharp look out for kids and dogs, specialy dogs as they will run into the blades.

I once had a dog aproach my landing area at the end of my flight, and it was a horrible feeling haveing to keep my heli hovering into low voltage cut of until the dog went away, I could not land incase the dog went into the blades, eventualy after about 7 minutes into a 4 minute flight, I ended up haveing to land about 50 meters away from me and the dog, its actually not easy to land a heli so far away.

Ive also had large dogs nearly bowl me over while Im flying and then start trying to jump up and play fight, thats not very good also.

what do you see at 2:25 in the video? i may be wrong but it looks like someone walking directly towards and under the heli? i have felt the attack of my 450 do to a failure, broke both blades on my neck and collarbone. not a warm and fuzzy feeling(well maybe the blood was warm )anyways be carefull and make sure you are aware of your surroundings.

I generaly dont bother looking at vids unless I know theres a crash in there somewhere, or Tareq.

Just looking at the embedded still frame it doesent look to bad.

I could not find the part where the flip goes wrong and got bored, anyone know what time the loss of control happens??

I watched the entire 3 minutes this time, I caught the backflip, not much loss of control though.

To me loss of control is when you have to slam in full collective to stop it smacking into the ground, when you make a crop circle or see tufts of grass fly out of the tail rotor its a close call.

Heli 770, yes I see a kid in a white T shirt and jeans walking right directly under where WC is flying, then WC looses control and it looks as if it's headed over towards the fence that is bordering the road. Too high Too close to the road and not good to fly over spectators. It's hard to control and area that is that public. Camerman needs to be your spotter and warn you of these things.

toolman18 WC,

sorry bout the edite miss spelling or adding to the message.

and i guess youve all heard of the term scared straight lol

and that guy was a good friend and he moved under the trees closer to the gate he knows how to approach me when im flying.

and im sure you guys knew how it felt when the heli went nutz

but really if anyone comes on the field to watch we go home , if their behind the gate ,which most of the spectators are on the trees side we let them watch .

i lost control oneday and i kid behind the tall gate screamed wow
he thought i was doing 3d and it was and i was scared to death
but again another safe recovery and i dont know what else to say but
you guys must be watching over me and when i go to the park and im videoing im sure all of you will be watching me so i wont let you guys down man your all excellent mentors and thanks again

but im going to a large field soon , i feel its time to practice circuit's and figure 8s and at the park i can practice nosein side to side .

the first flip before i lost it i had it inverted for a second and if it was not so windy i would have tried to held it inverted for a second longer and my timing seemed to be better when doing the flip closer to where i could see what was happening .

and if i can flip it backwards and forward properly and then if i can invert from forward and backwards then maybe i can try and tictoc with the 450 with the 3600 rpm head speed ?

and i know i have not practice nose in hover but i have practice nose in flight and i think i can recover the heli if i get in trouble .

im not gonna say im the recovery master but i have recovered the heli so many times i have had thoughts were i might have a day that says not this time , but that only happens if i have a malfunction.

i think if im lucky in 4 months im gonna shine , but ill never be as good as you guys.

If ya get a bigger area to fly in you can do some big sky aerobatics, fast forward flying with big sweeping loops and stall turns, sideways flips and stuff while in ff, even let the heli fall down from height tail down after a stall turn, at the bottom you can pull out inverted.

I found doing tail slides from height then going into tail first level flight an easy/safer way to get used to backward inverted, and when things go wrong just fip sideways to upright, backward inverted opened up alot more possibilities for 3d.

I think big sky flying is more fun stationary 3d, not sure what 450 helis are like for FF, loops and the like. I did have a trex 450 as my first heli but its a long time ago and all I was capable of was hovering, pitch pumping and spinning the tail around then.

I think I did brake into forwad figure of 8`s with my first heli (450) but I was realy flying above my skill level and crashed frequently.
