My FBL Synergy
Hi guys

I finally got my FBL Synergy flying.

Hyper grips with a 3mm carbon spacer and then a double thick arm.
I used a long Synergy ball threaded into a custom made 'nut'.
It is made from a 4mm stainless steel pop rivet that was cut to length and tapped to 3mm. Total width 56mm. (28mm each side)

The pushrod is a Hangar 9 titanium 3mm / 4-40 turn buckle. I needed to drill out the ball links a little. The swash driver is an RJX driver with 2 x RJX balls on the swash.

I did the 20mm bell crank mod. On the two front bell cranks, I used the bearings from the original washout mixer arms and then 3mm bolts straight into the swash anti rotation guide. I didn't want to drill and tap it to 4mm. Also needed 3mm stand offs and 3mm collets between the bearings.

I used the original servo layout, as it was. 14mm arms. I needed a little trimming on the top plates.

Also needed to trim the rear centre post.

I need to give a BIG 'thank you' to Mr.Mel, Chuckie, Bart B and many others you have given me lots of help. Thanks for all the PM's guys.

I had never seen a FBL heli and was a little intimidated by the project. In retrospect, with all the available info and help here on RR, it was real easy.

I have had two outings now. The very first flight was just awesome. I could hardly believe it. I used the Logo 600 as a 'base' model for the setup. During the first outing, i changed the Expo to 'linear' and during the second outing, the changed the Stick response to 'Aggressive' and the collective to 90%.

I love the way it flies.......

Thanks again guys

Regards
Paul

PS: My good friend, Tareq, had 2 flights and gave it 'the thumbs up'

Very nice. Once you go flybarless on a Synergy there is no looking back. Your set up looks great.
