Mid range hanging, but engine rich?
Hey guys, on an OS91HZ w/Hatori SB20FH, when the mid range hangs when unloading, what do you adjust to compensate?

High: 2 full turns
Mid: 1/2 turn
Low: Factory + slightly rich

mid seems a bit too lean at half turn...

follow ben minor's 3 needle tuning guide.. that helped me a lot.. it's here on rr sumwhr.

dang mid seems way lean to me, dont have the same pipe but I am running 1 3/4 out on each, landing at 200f with great power, I used the tuning guide on Berts' second smackdown vid, worked way better than how I had mine set perviously.

Looks like a type-o in the OSMG1977's manual:

Page 26:

"Medium Speed needle-valve:
exactly one half turns open from the fully closed position"

Page 33:

"It is at this point that the Medium Speed Needle Valve, previously set to two turns open, may be brought into operation."

For me with the HZ, the high speed should would be no leaner than 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 2/5, and the midrange should be somewhere around 1/2-3/4 open using 30% CP. Sounds like your mid might be a tad lean.
