Raptor 90 SE - parts availability
Not sure if any of you may have read my message in the general discussion forum about returning to the hobby, but if you did, you'll know where I'm coming from.

My goal at this point is to build a scale heli, and I like the fact that TT has several scale fuselage options available for the 90. However, I'm wondering whether or not parts will be available down the road for the 90. I understand that TT has sort of lost the spotlight to Align and many people are flying T-Rex's now, so I'm not sure if that will have an impact on future parts availability for the Raptor 90.

Basically, I'm trying to decide whether or not purchasing a Raptor 90 SE is a smart choice. I probably won't get too many unbiased responses in the Raptor forum, but nonetheless, it'll be good to hear from current owners. So, what do you think? Raptor 90 SE, or look towards a T-Rex 700 or perhaps a Century Predator Condor (gasser).

I would go for the gasser b 4 I would buy a T-Rex 700. Rex parts seem to ware out quite fast. I have a buddy that owns one and is always replaceing something or the other on it, My Rap 90 SE goes year after year!!!!! My 1 cent worth!!!!!!!!!

Raptor 90 3D is superior than SE in some ways. For example tail blade holder bearings, mixer arms, dampeners are upgraded on the 3D edition as well there are push pull controls on pitch and elevator. Also i never liked the design of the carbonfiber pitch arm. Plastic pitch arm is just good.

3D flies just good, its cheaper to repair also. Food for thought.

Thanks for the replies so far. Good information! I'm more or less concerned however that TT may discontinue the Raptor 90. It's what... about 4 years old now? Has anyone heard anything in the pipeline regarding a product-line refresh?

Thunder Tiger and the Raptor are not going anywhere, anytime soon. They are introducing a new 50 size machine, and the thoughts are that a 90 will follow. With that said, the current Thunder Tiger fleet is going to be around for all of us to continue to enjoy. Buy the Rappy 90 without hesitation or concern.Logo 480Xxtreme, Logo 550SX, Logo 600SX, Logo 700Xxtreme, Logo 800Xxtreme

All of the 90SE parts are staying availabe. IF it ever does come to a time where the 90SE parts are not around the 903d parts are all interchangable. I have a 90SE with a 903D mixers and seesaw on it.
