One would have to be stoned to suggest that FEJ is going to give BVM a challange when it comes to quaility. Sure, it will be cheaper, you get what you pay for....

The challenge is to price, and no stoneage here. The BVM stuff is nice, but very pricey. Maybe I will let you know what I find out about the kit quality once I go through it.

The BVM equivalent Bandit is $4200 equally outfitted. THE FEJ model is $1700. So the difference is you will pay 147% more.

You need to read on the other site's jet forum about Fly Eagle products coming apart in md air.. It's no use saving 147% off a kit if you destroy your turbine and radio gear cause a wing comes off cause it's an ARF that was built overseas and a glue joint is not done right.. Also their tail pipe welds break and several jets have caught fire.. I don't bleed BVM purple but I don't see their kits having the same issues..

Hey Stet
Beautiful model man. I love the look of polished aluminum aircraft.

Is there a video somewhere of one of these flying in the sunlight?

BVM's kit is also built overseas FYI, by a top outfit in Thailand. I'm not saying they are equivalent, and I'll be looking at the bifurcated duct given your comment. I am dealing with a FEJ F18 right now. I've seen others break up in flight too.

A piece of spotwelded stainless sheet metal is probably the easiest part to get right, especially if a simple cone.

All I am saying is that BVM is very expensive, even with what you get. with competion, the consumer benefits.

I am also happy with my current BVM kit, though their choice of skin hinge method for the control surfaces really bugs me from an aesthetic standpoint.
