To bad you are so far up north, there is a couple of clubs around here and a bunch of guys that will be more than happy to help you out. But that's good that you have it figured out and able to flight again! If you ever in the Tacoma area let us know. We flight pretty much every nice afternoon and weekends all day.

It will most likely be that your needle settings are way off, & the other carb is set correctly.

Did you set the needles back to factory & try that first?
Although even factory is too rich.
Like I said before, I would recommend the main needle 1.25-1.5 turns open, & the low valve at default or a little on the lean side.

You can always simply copy the needle settings off the carb you just fitted.

blocked?
Take the needles out and blow some air through them with compressed air maybe they are blocked? What kind of carburettor is it? I have a TT53 RL and it had 2 needles, but after tonnes of reading on forums i read there is a third hidden needle inside the throttle rotor. Not stated in the manual. I removed the throttle rotor and sure enough the needle had moved to the point it was causing the rotor to jam. i could never get it to tune until i re set it to thefactory setting (and threadlocked it there) and now it goes fine..

Just a thought!
