I was pulling my hair out today, a guy called at 10 this morning and asked if I hd a motorcycle engine that was supposed to be delivered. I said yes and he told me UPS was trying to deliver it to him! He lives 20 miles away, someone at the UPS freight yard tried to pull a scam! The motor was supposed to be held there so Icould pick it up, somehow the hipping invoive got changed to delivery at that guys adress? My adresswas never given, only my phone number. Got to call tomarrow to see how this happened. Just glad I got it.

Yea, I called him back and thanked him again. UPS said the guy who shipped it originally put that guys adress on it then called and changed it after the attemped delivery, but the UPS freight yard adress with my name and phone was on the crate when I picked it up, so it had t be UPS that changed somehow. I figure maybe someone thinking it could "fall off the truck"?

I would call the place who you got the motor from they would know who then sent it to. Start there if you want to make stink.

I talked to the dude that called me, then UPS, then the place I got the engine from, then UPS again. It had to be UPS, the guy who sent it pasted my name with the adress of the UPS freight yard all over the crate. There has to be a record of who changed the adress and the hold for pickup. My adress was never on anything, just my phone number, it doesnt make sense to me at all. I am calling tomarrow though.

you probably already did. but go thru that box with a fine tooth-comb. If any thing is out of place this is the time to complain. UPS is most often a great shipper but there are always those who are thiefs. I hate that.

Yep all there. She is getting her new heart today! Had to take a break to go eat but front motor mounts and radiator, then oil and antifreeze, should have her running tonight.

That was my other choice when I got my bike was an R1, it was in a little worse shape than the one I got though, with more miles. I really do like them though.
