Jersey Shore is SO BAD I can't help but watch it. I've got a few friends from Jersey and they just turn red when you mention that show.
It's a guilty pleasure. I use the same excuse, FHB, when I do admit to watching it.

"Do you have to be a certified welder?"

In a factory setting, probably,
But for a bike unless you are racing there is no specific requirement that I am aware of.

yep. Since Vin left and now Paul Jr., you're going to see much more stuff coming in with bubble wrap. I think Rick does some nice work, but.... Funny how senior goes on and on about his bike building, but it looks to me like he does even less work on the bikes now than he ever did. Hell, he just hands over the designs now to Poul and gives him free reign, so he's not really involved in anything other than the un-veils. And what he's doing to his own son is just downright disgusting....claiming OCC has a zero net worth and that 20% of zero is zero. Jr. had the best comeback line ever..."well, if it's worth zero, then why don't you let me buy your 80%." Classic.
And if it's really worth zero, how can he afford that house he built and all of those collector cars and bikes??? It's his company, he can do as he pleases, but don't poor mouth about things while you're driving around in a 6 figure muscle car. Funny too how his fight was with Jr. and yet none of his 3 sons will talk to him. When the kid that owned the steel company took on that job to build the new building, I knew it wasn't going to end well. I'll bet the old man scewed him out of a ton of money.
Still can't figure out Vin being there when he has his own company. Unless this was all taped before Vin got his own shop.
I liked the old show, but this one will get old after a few more episodes.

these bikes they build, do they have to have an ID number on them, sort of like a VIN number on cars?

I can tell you how it works. For Bike manufacturers it is simple as getting a Harley. They get a manufacturers license and they call there bikes whatever the name they come up with(ie Harley). My uncle is a Manufacturer and does all his own work and has done one of the Drag Specialtys bikes. It is on posters, mags, etc... he even did a sweet custom tractor trailer cab. Kodak even aproached him and did alot of free photography and books for him just to use his images to show there pic quality

See jr's "custom" bike come in by UPS last night? Put the catalog wheel blanks in a CNC machine, web over the catalog tank, and send it to the painters boys.

They do a Geico bike.Advertiser of the show. What luck to get that build. And how bout the lame ass "meteor men" bike?Like they just wouldn't by a Kawasaki Mule for $10k.A $100k v-twin atv is much more practical.

They don't "Ride" those bikes . They show them ,sit on them and make engine sounds !

As far as the No fender look ,thats all it is . Cool to look at .

No fenders in the rain is like a cold wet razor blade cutting you in the face and down the back . I rode my fenderless build in the rain for 20 miles one time . I think I was more wet then the roads were !

I agree with you guys . Jr is really grasping for straws here . He has turned his dream into a job .

I think he was just sitting back hoping that his 20% of OCC would equate to millions so he could go design panties or whatever it is he was doing in between. Be interesting to see how long Vinnie lasts.
