I really hope someone can help me with a problem I am having with my MCX. I totally disassembled my MCX to give it a good cleaning. After reassembly, it spins uncontrollably counter clockwise. I know that this must be an issue of the blades not turning at the proper speed, and think something must be binding up, but need some suggestions. There seems to be adequate space between the inner and outer gears, about 1/16” of play. I do not understand the function of the inner shaft collar…seems like it just sits on the shaft, not contacting anything.

Any help?

maybe you reconnected your motor wire wrong? Check to see if the top blade is spinning CW or CCW. If it's spinning CW, then you got the polarity wrong?

The inner shaft collar attaches to the bottom on the shaft below the main gear and hold the shaft in place. I think what you are referring to is actually the outer shaft collar and it serves to hold the outer shaft in the bottom bearing race. The screws on this collar must align with the very small hole on the outer shaft so that all is positioned correctly. You will notice the outter shaft has two sets of holes in it. One to align the bottom rotor head and the others to align the collar you speak of.

As far as your spinning, be sure the lower rotor head securing screws line up with the corresponding holes on the outer shaft. This head has to be in the right place to level the swash plate. also check to see if the swash is separated from the bearing, if so just squeeze them back together.

You should also check to see that each motor gear is lined up with it's corresponding main gear. Sometimes you will find misalignment where one motor is turning both gears. Not good.

Hope this helps.
