I just have one request from MA make the tail blade grip thicker i'm scared to try them on mine. I wish sparx would show me that set of tail grips i copied of MA so i could make a thicker set, that is if i made them thicker. Copying is what China does improving is what the US does.

Thanks for all the great input

No problems with mine so far.

They're almost identical to the Century Alu Tail grips and no problems with those either...

I generally take it easy on my gassers, so I haven't crashed yet. Now my smaller heli's are a different story...

I noticed the thickness too. I have not yet had a problem with the tail grips. I think that the thickness was the reason for them being discontinued... That is the reason for wanting some different ones. Common Ivan, bring it on... Lets see some bad a$$ tail grips!!!

Yeah Ivan, let's see some bad a$$ tail grips. Are you the CNC master or what?

I talked with the old MA about 1 1/2 years ago, and the reason they told me they discontinued the CNC blade grips was because it was costing them a lot more to make them than they could sell them for. They said that for every 4 CNC tail grips that they manufactured, 3 of them had to be discarded because it was not up to specs.

Jim, the Predator grips look almost identical to the Spectra grips, don't they?

Yes, the Pred grips are just about identical on the outside as the MA's but the inside is different due to the Pred having 2 radial bearings and 1 thrust, where as the G has only one radial and 1 thrust bearing in each grip.

Is there a problem with the old plastic grips that I dont know about?

I never had one break even during crashes. Apart from bling, what advantage are these aluminuim ones then?

The real problem with the plastic grips is that plastic doesn't look as nice as the metal.

I would prefer a metal bellcrank to be made, that would be more useful as ive broken the bellcrank during flights.

The FAI bellcrank is metal, but they don't make all the parts for an FAI bellcrank on a closed gearbox. Perhaps they can make those when the reintroduce the metal t/r grips? Or are you talking about the aileron bellcranks? They make those out of carbon fiber now.

Bellcranks
I've only owned the platic bellcranks and I can honestly say I have never bought a replacement bellcrank in my flying career.

Get them if you want bling, but they are not needed from a functionality standpoint.

I think they will be busy with all the parts for the new models tobe worried about backengineering older parts.

There will be a flood of used parts in the classifieds soon as people wil be upgrading no doubt to the newer models
