I use Phoenix, I like the ability of using my own radio. If you have a JR or Spektrum it plugs right in. Also you never need to pay for add on packages or updates they are free.

+1 for Phoenix. Awesome sim for both heli and fixed-wing.

Real Flight or Phoenix with either one you can't go wrong. My preference is with Phoenix but I have buddies that use Real Flight. They both get the job done.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I have both, definitely Phoenix for me.

One mile of road will take you one mile. One mile of runway will take you anywhere in the world.

Used both. I own Phoenix and could not be happier. Great flying sim that you can use your own radio and it has free updates.

Phoenix for me also. Every time they come out with a free update I feel like I am cheating them, (but I get over that quickly).

I did fly RF Versions 1, 2 and 2.5. It was a good flying sim back then for sure, but I got tired of buying a new controller, the add-ons and then the upgrades.

Gravity is what makes flying so much fun!

That is the nice thing about Phoenix, new models and updates will auto download so you can install them. Best thing is they are free.

You should go to your local hobby story and try them both. Asking here for a unbiased opinion is difficult.

Realflight rocks flat out..
I'd think twice before listening to any advice from someone who contradicts them self as much as this guy.
ALL of the following quotes were made by the SAME PERSON within a span of about 9 months.
Phoenix is just as good as RF
You'll love Realflight ,You can do anything and everything with it just like any other sim and realflight is neck and neck with Phoenix
The phoenix flight simulator is better than any other simulators I have used
I tryed Phoenix for 1 week and didn't like it at all,soo unrealistic to me
Phoenix is no better than Realflight
Phoenix is no better than Realflight and Realflight is no better than Phoenix
There both equal, one is no better than the other and if someone says ones better than the other there 100% wrong
Phoenix just sucked

Realflight got me here in 1 1/2 years..

Watch at YouTube

Phoenix is OK,if you ever drop and break your radio or need to send it in for somthing,Phoenix is useless because you have no radio.Realflight comes with a Radio and free cables to hook up any radio you buy if you want to put wear and tear on your good TX.You don't get a Radio with Phoenix so if you drop it or somthing playing on the sim or flying the real thing your sitting there with your hands in your pocket waiting 3 weeks or so to get your radio back. You can download any heli or flying site you want with Realflight for FREE.The graphics, online flying, free downloads are awesome and you can setup the helis your flying to fly like your real one. There both good sims but I like Realflight because if somthing ever happens to my Radio,I can still fly on the sim,you can't with Phoenix unless you buy ANOTHER radio to fly with. Most hobby shops won't have Phoenix to try because there not about to hook a $300.00 dollar radio up for people to trash just to play with..
