i wondered about this servo too. good news im gonna get one with a futaba gy520 or spartan quark.will compare it to my other heli with bls251 when its up and running.

I think you'll find that it is very comparible to the 251 as far as performance, as far as price, they don't compare at all, the 650 is Champ for the money.

I am not that familiar witl the Align servos thinking of also buy a DS650. Can they use any other manufactrers wheels/horn like Jr, Futaba, Hitec or Airtronics? I could not find it posted on this forum. Thanks,

have one I bought used from Mike Fortin. He said it had about 20 flights on it. I don't think he "babied" it either . I've put another 20-30 flights on it, on my Vibe 50 and I'm very happy with the performance. Time will tell how it holds up.

One user did state he had one fail, but that was on a Raptor 90 and he was having other servos fail in time due to getting goobered up with fuel residue.

I WOULD NOT RUN IT WITHOUT A STEPDOWN!! Sure it will run for a while but will drasticly reduce the life of the servo.
