Finally getting around to getting my TX for the Beam. I'm no newb, but haven't flown in years. I'm not looking to get into insane headspeeds for 3D right away, so I was wondering, what would be my pinion choice for a Scorp -8 on 3S.
Thanks guys.....

I'd start with a 12T pinion, avg. head speed around 2972rpm.

I'm currently running 13T at a head speed of 2800rpm with Scorpion-8 on 3S on both my flybarred and FBL Beams.

thanks guys. The headspeeds still amaze me. I flew in the early 90's with a fleet of XCel 46's and 60's with wood blades and a HS of 1700 was really humping. I'm gonna have to get used to that, plus the E learning curve.

The head speed I gave you is without governor and 100% trottle.
