I keep reading through the stock Align ESC programing instructions in the manual, but they seem a little confusing. I haven't tried to actually do it yet, because most of the default settings seem to be where they need to be (I need to double check that too) and I don't want to get it completely screwed up.

My CC ESC's are easier...just hook-up to the comp. program, and go.

So, am I over compicating it? Will it be obvious when I actually start doing it? The instructions have my head spinning (more than usual).

Any tips would be helpfull.

Thanks, Bill

if you have the motor/pinion installed. and are worried about spinning up the heli..just loosen the motor and pull it away from the main gear. now you can play with the setup without worry. i put a ink dot on the instruction sheet for the setting i wanted for each setup so i didn't get confused. put throttle at FULL..plug up battery....waited for setup tone to finish. then listen for 1 beep, put the throttle stick to correct setting. 2 beeps....moved throttle stick to setting...3 beeps...put throttle stick to setting...just go through 5 beeps and you are ready to rock...unplug battery. lower THROTTLE DOWN , now plug battery back in and listen for the beeps to make sure you have the settings you want...

nothing to it but to do it

+1 to what KC said.

I just installed my BL35X and 450M motor in my 450 yesterday. First time programming it, all the settings come out as 1-1-1-1-1. Took me a while to realize the throttle hold was on. Next time I got 1-3-3-3-3. It took me about 5 min. to realize it was my throttle curve in "normal" that was the problem. I have a steep curve to get the RPMs up to match ST1. So what I learned is make sure throttle hold is off and you use a linear throttle curve when programming. Save you the trouble I went through.

Thanks Guys. I think the default settings will be fine for the most part...the LVC is what I wanted to check. Anyone know the values? "High" LVC is for how many volts and "low" is for how many volts?

LVC
From the BL35X/G Manual: http://www.align.com.tw/html/en/assembly/rce-bl25xe.htm

First step of protection is:
1- 3.2v/cell (High)
2- 2.6v/cell
3- 2.3v/cell (Low)
