I'm considering using LiFe packs direct instead of regulated LiPo, like the one listed in the link below. Anyone have any experience with using direct voltage from LiFe packs on 6v rated servos such as the BLS451 servos? I'm also assuming I might be able to use a normal step-down for the tail servo (BLS251).

Thanks in advance.

I'm using A123 packs unregulated on 4 helis currently. All have 451's for cyclic and 251's with step down for rudder. This is the best way to go IMO. One less device to worry about failing.

Nice. Excuse my ignorance but A123 is the same as LiFe correct?

This may have to be the route I go this season

Using the same set up here! +1

Wire up a harness with dual reciever inputs with a deans connector breaking the hot line to the receiver for a switch. (bullet proof)

Cool, thanks for the diagram.

May I ask why the dual input to the receiver ? Just in case on of them fails ?

But that would assume it would after the deans only ?

Just trying to understand.

Thanks again...

I think I will be doing that

Everything looks good so far I might take the dual output thing a little further and make some pass-through y-cables so they can be used in occupied channels...maybe even 3 outputs.

Maybe something like this???
