Photos are coming.

The price is still being worked out.

http://model.hirobo.co.jp/index.html

The flash in Japanese, I can't read what it says.
Hirobo is actually debuting the Quark SG at the Nurnburg toy fair.

Trust that I will keep you all up to date on new news the moment I receive it.

What is it? A new car, a new heli, a new gyro, a new kitchen utensil????

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Hirobo Quark is/was an extremely expensive indoor fixed pitch heli.

I'd assume this is a newer version of it..

MSR > Quark
Agreed.

I feel as though they needed a newer or updated version of one of there 2 higher end electrics, and quickly and very easily fixed up the Quark.

What About my Lepton? They might have to put to much effort into that project so it will never happen. It's bunk if you ask me. This heli has been around since 06' with no help.

I watched the Japanese flash. You are not missing anything if you didn't understand the video. The flash video is a marketing nonsense made toward the Japanese audience. You would never understand the video unless you are from Japanese culture. It says something about the Heliko, which is an adoring way of calling a female's name that you are in love with. Saying something about faling in love with the Heliko, mentioning about rediscovering a forgotten pleasure in life. I'm Japanese and still scratching my head to understand this. WTF. The video doesn't say anything about the new upcoming SRB heli except flashing "SRB Quark SG" at the end. Yawn.

The flybar is rotated off axis like the first SRB did. I'm not sure why Hirobo did it but it works.

I don't think so. This is because this a totally different helicopter. there needs to be room for one more servo for the CP.

What price point will this be at since the Blade SR will be out soon. I know the SRB CP will be higher quality, but still, it seems the SR will have an edge and give it a run for the money. If it's around $200 - $250 without a TX, I'll consider it.
Will the new SRB's blades still be made out of the fragile foam blades? You can only go so far with those. Especially on a CP heli.

It doesn't look like foam blades are inhibiting it much to me.

This website shows it's still 40 - 72mhz. Why no 2.4ghz?

Cool video. I would like an option for CF blades or at least wood. The only time I'm breaking blades nowadays is during transport.

I believe 2.4Ghz radios (at least for RC) is not yet legal in Japan.

It seems to have excellent tail authority and does really tight flips and loops. I would have expected more gradual response with a 45 degree offset head. I think the blades being so light contributes to the response.

From what I have been able to decipher, it will work with existing 72 mhz 4, 5 and 6 channel Txs. The price in Japan translates to $650.

The real question is what does "SG" stand for?
