How do you assign the timer to the spring-loaded trnr switch on a 9503/9303???

My timer is on the trnr switch, and my buddy's is on the bottom button on the left side of the TX - next to the screen - where it says "tim" next to it.

It must be assignable.................

I think the bottom button is to reset it.
While in a model, you have to go into the list and then timer, and activate it.

By default is at the spring loaded switch.

So if I activated the timer, and the spring-loaded switch is not working, does that mean the TX is basically broken - at least that switch is broken???

i just took a look at mine and don't see a way to change the assignment. Maybe you have problem with your switch, but I can't say for sure...
Maybe someone else knows more..

on the 9303 it is BOTH. you can use either the lower left programming button with TIM next to it OR the trainer switch. use either one at any time to start/stop the timer. i do it all the time.

i know of no way to enable/disable/move the function. so, if the trainer switch is not working, methinks it may be broken.

if it ain't broke, break it.

I knew of the lower left but not the trainer switch, that works great! No need to get a 9503. Well, the back light would be nice.

The two best new features of the 9503 are the backlit screen and the assignable timer. Assign the timer to throttle and anytime the throttle is above a set percentage, it's on.

Is your buddy's a heli version of the 9303? Perhaps the switches are different on the airplane version?

Trainer switch is all I use for starting and stopping the timer.

Thanks guys.

No it is a heli version. Unfortunately, it is defective.

I will be sending it back for him (I bought a couple of them together).

sounds like it may be a bad switch then? Probably pretty easy to diagnose with a meter.
