I have an extremely weird problem with my MSR. When I turn it on, all the cyclic controls are working just fine. If I turn on the throttle on very low rpm, it also boots up and works just fine.

If at this point I spin it up like for a lift off, then the heli shuts down (even the led turns off) and then reboots. After it reboots itself, the same thing happens - cyclic controls work, slow throttle too, fast one leads to shutdown...

Any ideas? I really am getting concerned

The manual says that this could be because of non-reset throttle upon startup, but that is certainly not the case.

Please help... Any advice is appreciated!

How old is the battery? They will shut down if the voltage gets too low, which can indicate a dead or drained battery. Have you crashed and left the throttle high? You can also easily damage the main board and the motor if you do this, and they might result in similar symptoms.

the heli ones are pretty new, the one on the remote - I've no idea... I went with the ones from the original box so yeah, they could be pretty old. would old remote batteries cause smth like this?

It most likely is not the batteries in the remote, it would be the LiPo in the mSR itself. Are you reasonably sure that it is getting charged?

yes, the lipos are brand new - two of them I received just today, the other two I don't know. all of them are charged normally.

before this happened, I was pushing down the main motor as during one of the crashes it had popped up with a couple of mm.

during one of the tries to lift it off, the main circuit was making some funny noises :/

found the reason!

it turned out that tail boom had gone wrong during the last crash and was messing up the 5in1... found it here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9.../tm.htm#9404833

i had a spare tail boom so I replaced it and guess - it speeds up normally now! )
