Hey guys, I was just wondering what servos everyone is runnng in their Radikal. I am coming back to the hobby after being out for 3 years, and a lot has changed. I am really hyped at the thought of a smaller gas powered heli that has a power to weight ratio similar to its nitro equipped counterpart. I think the Radikal will be exactly what I'm looking for. I guess I should also say that I prefer Futaba radio gear, and will be flying 3D, I am planning on going with the LT version.
As an afterthought, can somebody fill me in a little more on the ignition system for this engine? I have had a gasser, and it didn't need a seperate battery for the ignition. Is this a stock part, or something aftermarket?

Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

for some servo ideas

The G20 zenoah works off an electronic ignition vs. flywheel as you were use to. It comes with engine, just need to supply a battery source for it.

you don't have to have anything fancy, of course it doesn't hurt but it will fly great on reasonabley priced digatal servo's.

I ended up getting a set of the new JR8917HV for my Radikal

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

DS821
Could you use the Spektrum DS821's servo's for the cyclic servo's in the Radikal or would that be too risky? Thanks?

Okay.....the DS821's will not work with the Radikal. I leaning towards the Align DS610's.

Hyperion servos will fill your needs. Metal gears, programmable, precise, good centering and most importantly they will not empty your wallet as fast.

like sparxs says the hyperions are alot of bang for the buck, i use there tail servo's too, same speed as a hundred + dollar tail servo , been running them over a year no problems.
