I'm seriously considering getting one of these as, it’s inexpensive and seems to be durable. The only problem I have is parts availability. I don’t have a problem ordering parts I just don’t want to have that be a requirement. It’s nice in a pinch to run to the LHS and get a few items such as shafts, booms , links, gears etc.

Has anyone seen what parts are compatible with the Raptor? Maybe it’s easier to ask what parts are not compatible with the raptor

There are some parts that are interchangeble, like the tail rotor and the boom supports. Others that can be changed out and work well like the clutch and clutch bell. However the Raptor clutch does not work well with the Frenzy clutch bell. There are probably many bearings that are the same, but not certain. There may be more, but this is all I know.

Main gear is the same as the 85 tooth raptor gear. The entire tail assembly is the same. The Titan boom, the tail belt from a 30, and like previously mentioned the clutch bell and pinion. Thats about it.

From what I can see it looks like there is not enough parts compatability. Hate to say it because I really wanted one of these. But it looks like I won't buy one.......crap, and only because I can't walk into the LHS and get parts. When I need that 1 or 2 parts I don't what to wait a week or two for delivery. What a disapointment.

Before I give up I'll see if I can get the LHS to carry parts.

I suggest you find someone in your area that has one, and see if you can "borrow" a flight. If you flew one, you'd not buy a Raptor. Come over to SA, I'll let you fly one of mine.

Ordering 50 bucks in parts that usually break in crashes, is more than enough. Very cheap parts. Will save you money on the long run.

That's what I did. I just got the 90 and parts for it. Great looking machine. At 250 bucks ? No one can beat that !!

I understand what you guys are saying and on a certain level I agree. I just hate when I need Oh, a MS or a flybar...something not worth ordering so to make it worth it I have to spend 50-100 bucks. My though being if I have to wait might as well be worth it.

Now, if I go to the LHS I get the part I need and fly that day.

Well, the jury is still out. Haven't given up yet. I'm going to talk to the manager/owner of the LHS and see what he has to say about getting parts in. If I remember correctly, he was thinking about stocking them anyway.

Thanks for you input everyone.

I share the same feelings but as I said, when I ordered my frenzy, I bought also pretty much anything that I would need in a crash.

Spindles, shafts, flybar, skids, even clutch, gears, belt, anything short of another kit (which might have been a good idea for the price )

If there is a crash, I am sure I will have everything and I will order what I used, without being in a hurry...

I mean, a boom costs 3 bucks !!!!!....3 bucks !!!!!!

You can't beat that. (I got 2 spares )
