There are a lot of newer, faster, and stronger servos like 8717's but a 9252 will do just fine.

9252 stalls on a 50 size bird when doing hard 3D, so it won't be enough for rap 90 if you intend to fly hard.

I reccomend align ds610s for the pitch arm of rap 90.

no they dont youll be fine, dont listen to all the hype. I used to do it with cheap 3151s lol

If you only have to bend over once to pick it up it's a good landing.

What I say is what I have personally experienced and its not a gentle act to assume someone's idea being a hype.

a 9252 stalls when you give full positive pitch from a negative pitch, you can clearly feel the servo slows down and picks up speed again in the transition. This does not happen when using a ds610 or using eccpm with the 9252s. I must add I am using 9252s with regulator on 5.8V so I'm using the most out of them.

I have flew raptors with 3151s, 3152s or even 3001s.

You can of course do 3D with 3151s on a raptor and you can of course cannot do hard manuveurs unless you really really practice a lot and exactly know what to do to not to stall the servo.

Hope I have cleared what I told in a message before...

Maybe theres something wrong in your set-up!The 9252 servos never stall in 3-D ever in my R50s.Awesome servos, been tried, tested and true in the RC Heli world for a long time.Youll have no problems with this servo, there are stronger, faster servos on the market, but these are the"best bang for your buck servos"you can buy!If you want a little upgraded servo from the 9252,without really hurting your wallet, the 9452/Futaba is simply great. There just like a 9252 only with metal gears.9252s ROCK!!!

No it doesnt Its somthing your doing wrong, or you have a bad servo. I use a 9252 on my collective and it works flawlessly

I personally like the Ace 1015 servo for collective on my 90's. Its' metal geared, over 200 oz in torque, .108 in speed and under 100 bucks. I used to fly 9252 in my ccpm machines but switched when I found out they were not rated for 6 volts.

Cheers on all the guys who insist 9252s do not stall .

Well, anyway, I can clearly feel the transition being slow and then later picking up speed. I both used them with the push-pull collective and old V2 one rod style.

Now I am still using them with eccpm upgrade for raptor and they work flawlessly. This is the same heli with same setup only the control surface changed, also keeping in mind I am also using a rap90 3D with ds610 servo and this characteristci does not exits I am pretty sure that 9252 is a little low on the torque side.

Anyway, more is always better , if you are going to spend 60$ spend it on ds610s .

Ace 1015 is awesome too.

This post is clearly being personal and I do not like it. You are of couse free to believe whatever you would like to believe. Your attitude is beyond gentle and becomes childish at a certain point which we loose the "sharing of information" and begin "what I know is the right thing". This forum is clearly not the place to do that nor my way of doing things. all I can recommend is being more mature. Let's just don't forget there's no "wrong" in the RC universe but only facts. I present you all the facts just to show you what I say is not a hype.
Now just look how much I wrote to just clarify myself lol.

Anyway,

I hope you find a servo to your own liking Jayheli.

Cheers.

If you go with another servo, get a Align DS610,its faster and stronger anyways. Not trying to scare you away from the S9252 but they seem to lock up,a buddy had 2 go bad and futaba wouldn't warranty them (few months old).Look at pH7's reply, seen it happen in person https://rc.runryder.com/t544376p1/ .I have 3 Align DS610's on my R90 and there snappy as heck .

600LE,OS55,OS PowerBoost pipe,Align 610's,Spartan

Futaba does not recc. these servos at six volts. I called them to make sure and do not want to take the chance if the manufacturer themselves said not to do it. use what you feel comfortable with i always say.
