Can I use it straight with my lipo ?

Do I need to get a 7100r ? What is the output of the 7100r ? 6 volts ?

I was thinking of running my 610's straight from my lipo and put a step down for the tail and maybe throttle servo (9252)

I am not clear if the 7100r outputs 6 volts or 7 plus...

Basically I am been skeptical right now about my setup because I will be installing the align 3G on my 700 and I read I have to be careful with the 2 in 1 as it is rated too low for consumption..

I think the 7000 will handle the 8volts.
The 7100 and the 7100R have some double slots so that you can run unregulated 6v or 8v on the throttle and cyclic servos and the other stuff is plugged into slots that are already regulated for you to 5.2v for throttle servo if it's not able to run on 6v or 8v and tail gyro and such.

Oh No Someone Please Stop Me Before I Go Broke With This Heli Thing!!

The 7100r will output 5.2V at 2A for throttle, gear, rudder, and aux 2. It will output the remaining channels elevator, aileron, aux1, aux2 and gear at whatever power source you have hooked up. If its a 2s lipo that will go straight to the servos. Input voltage needs to be from 6-10v.

The AR7000 has the power bus across all pins. Whatever power source you hook up to it will go across all pins, no step down in voltage at all. It will handle 3.5-9.6V. This still can be used, but for throttle and rudder most use the Spektrum VR5203 Dual Output Regulator which will take an input range of 5.5-10V and will regulate it to 5.2v at 2A.

The 610s are not rated to handle above 6V but many have run them on 2s lipos without any problems. I have personally run them on a 2s lipo and had no issues.

So would this be a way for me to run my new 3G system ?AR700 with VR5203...?

Although I like the 2 in 1 and the convenience of having the on board glow, I think I will have to resort back to the switchglo...

I don't want to risk a crash just because of this.

You should be able to use the 7000 and the 2in1 just fine. Shouldn't have any problems. It outputs 5.8v, you will only need a tail stepdown for your tail servo. No need for the VR5203

Sorry to bother you again, but what I worry about is that there are threads stating that the new align 3G FBL system requires a lot of power to run, and the 2 in 1 might not be capable of providing that which could result in melting down the wires...

If that is the case then yes the switchglo with the VR5203 and AR7000 would be the better option. 2s lipo as a power source.

AR7000 DSM2 7Ch Receiver
Product Specifications
Type: AR7000 7-Channel DSM2 Full Range Receiver
# of Channels: 7
Modulation: DSM2
Band: 2.4GHz
Dimensions (WxLxH): 25.3 x 47 x 15.8mm
Weight: 14 g
Voltage Range: 3.5-9.6V
Antenna Length: Main RX: 30mm (2) Remote RX: 30mm
7.4 volts, no problem. The AR7000 will NOT, however, regulate that voltage down to something "safe" for your servos, gyro, and whatever else you have plugged into the RX. All other electronics plugged into the RX MUST be capable of working with whatever voltage your battery is cranking out.

7.4 volts in, 7.4 volts out.
