Just replaced the HV85 on my Trex600 with the new ICE HV80 this past weekend.

Having access to the logged data is great plus. Might just be the geek in me but I spent a couple of hours graphing the different parameters and comparing to what I did during the flight - it is really cool.

Construction of the ICE HV80 appears to be much better than the HV85 - just looks and feels like a higher quality product.

Castle ICE ESC's
Hi and can I just join in on your mention about the Castle Creations ICE Series.
I really very rarely come and comment in the forums, but people just really need to know how good these things are.
I have to say I have flown helis for almost 30 years now, the last 6 or so with Electrics.
I had tried the Castle range early on ahd then again once or twice but found myself going to the Kontronic range for all my helis.

This Jnauary I put a CC Ice 75 into a Logo 400 and included in the set up the Autorotation recovery settings, I still can't take the smile off my face, and as 'pvande', said the data logging is also a really good resource.

I have been soooo happy I have now fitted a CC Ice 100 to a Logo 500 and a CC ICE HV 80 tp a Logo 600 and have found them all flawless. I have taken out of the 400 a Hacker 75, and from the 500 and 600 a pair of Kontronic 63HV 120 Amp Controllers.
I have recorded peak current draws over the rated value of wach of the controllers and had NO issues what so ever, no thermal or current issues at all.

I am nothing to do with Castle but I do think people need to know when a product is good and with the ESC, the logging and the Autorotation recovery as well as the chance to now run my 500s on 8S with no need for another ESC ( the ICE range go up to 8S as standards... I am in Heaven and will be replacing ALL of my ESC's with these.....

For newbies and oldies, it may be interesting to know, these ESC's are not plug and play but they are REALLY EASY to set up and if you need a hand either the support desk will help or please get in touch with me.

I only know for the ICE and ICE HV as these are all I have fitted, but the offer is there

Thanks Castle
