The hottest setup right now is probably a Century Radikal with a 21cc modified motor.

Scorpion Power Systems
Thunder Power RC

I'll find out soon. I just bought a Radikal with a flybarless head and a Hanson modified engine. Should be a rocket!!

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

From what I have seen the 700 Helibug conversion looks to be the most powerful option out there, however its a conversion and not a off the shelf kit....

Speaking of power I have a spare Zenoah 260 3D MAX PUH from Hanson for sale if anyone is interested. He converted one of my existing motors but its unused, it has a Spectra fan installed and dial indictated by Al....

You wouldn’t think it’s a conversion looking at it and like you say with the power options available and a finished weight of just 13lbs it’s one hell of a gasser.

best gasser
The trex 700 nitro makes an average pilot look good as the power to weight ratio is huge.
I doubt there is a gasser that will perform anywhere close to it yet.
With all gassers the pilot must manage the pitch very carefully when inputting large cyclic pitch. The gasser will perform all the 3d manoevers but at a slower rate and without the pop of nitro,s.
The weight is still an issue slowing down the gasser.

That is not to say a gasser is worse - it is just different.

I must admit I enjoy flying both, but I think my gasser has the biggest smile factor even with its limitations.
It is cheap to run, reliable, fun and different to any other heli at my field.
I would never be without my gasser!!!!!

+1 smallplanes!!!

I haven't even gotten my Spectra in the air yet and already I love it more than any other heli I've owned. The quality has to be seen to be truely appreciated.

I think everything short of the cheaper align stuff is an ornament in England!

The key word there is "yet".

Problem is Raja that because of the relatively small number of gasser heli's sold the big distributors in the UK have tended to steer clear of them. This leaves the small to medium distributors with the business and again because of numbers they don't keep a large inventory of spares.
There's been what should be an improvement as far as anyone buying a Bergen is concerned as the latest UK distributor I'm told has a large stock of spares and they are well respected in the business to the best of my knowledge. MinAir or Century you can grow a beard and draw your pension waiting for parts and anything else you simply can't buy, Airstar and such like.

Blitz Avro? Style and quality.
As for current align stuff.. may have a good price point but general component quality is pretty darned good, design is kept simple and as idiot proof as possible.. no bad thing at all. OK a cheap main gear system.. but the it's cheap to replace. It's drawn a lot of folk into the hobby too..

You know my views on the century and minair stuff so won't go through that again...

..and your demo has inspired me to try and be a lot neater and controlled..a shame it cost me 4 lipos..

It all depends on what your definition of "best" is...
How do you rate:

Quality?
Performance?
Longevity?
Price?

All these factors influence what "best" is...

Having looked at this topic again "WHO'S GOT THE BEST 3D GASSER ?" I have to say that surely a lot of this comes down to the guy on the TX and how good he is...
