Anyone using the outside hole of the fuel tank to feed the engine? I am going to us a fuel magnet for my clunk. Can I get by using the outside hole?

Yes, most use the outside hole after having some experience with having to change the lines from time to time. Makes it easier to use the outside hole.
I and many others use the fuel magnet and we use the outside hole so that it also makes it easier to change the magnet element.

Fuel magnet is the way to go on the 700 also.

I will stay with the fuel magnet and outside hole. This is my second season using a fuel magnet. I like how well it performs.

I put my fuel line on the outside hole to so it would be easy to get to but thought after that I should have put it inside because the clunk will not reach the far left hand side of the tank when heli is on it's left side don't know if this is going to be a problem or not.

If you are going to use the outside hole, you either do it with a Fuel Magnet or with a Header Tank. If you are going to use the regular clunk or the OS Bubbleless then put in the center hole.

I am using the Bubbless clunk and I have the bung in the middle.

The difference is,
The fuel magnet is a foam element filter that goes inside the tank on the end of the fuel tubing and soaks up fuel so always you want to keep is wet and best used with YS motor because if you run muffler pressure to the tank the exhaust fumes causes the foam element to deterioriate. Because it has itself soaked with fuel you're good to the last drop so most don't run a header tank.

Bubbleless clunk is just that a clunk that looks like BB's in it I think I saw on here so no bubbles but can be run with muffler pressure as it isn't effected by exhaust fumes entering the tank like the foam magnet one is.
Most hobby shops I think carry them now.

Bill, You are ok with the out side hole with the fuel magnet. That's how I ran mine and it was great and easy to work on.

Thanks Paul. I wasn't sure. I know the fuel magnets work great because I use them on my 50's. Just the outside hole didn't seem to be a good place but I am using a fuel magnet so I will run it on the outside and fly the heck out of it.
