Maybe some one can help me out here. I'm doing a repair on a TT 30 V2 for a guy. This is my first experience with any ACE gyro's or servos. The 7000 Gyro with a DS0606 servo. This thing is one nervous piece of equipment. I've tried swapping out to a 6 volt battery and it hated it. Acted the same on 4.8 volts. He has a DX6i and 6200 receiver and all looks to be programed close. I'm leaning toward a battery too small for the digital servo load. I went as far as trying a step down to the servo thinking it may not like the voltage no help there.Any thoughts? This guy got raped by a "professional builder" here and I really would like yo help him out.
Thanks
Mike

where is it mounted?
I had issues with the 7000 gyro mounted up front anywhere near a digital servo. Seemed ok on the back.

Mounted in the rear away from everthing. This is pretty strange. I'm going to do a bit of rewiring this morning and see if I can isolate the problem. I'm just spoiled by working with 401's Aligns and so on. This is the first time I've run into this situation. Frustrating but I know it will be resolved.
Thanks
Mike

I have about a year of flight time with my TG7000/0606 now and run straight LiFePO4 voltage to it (between 6.6V and 7.4V). The ability to run higher voltage is one of the reasons I like this setup.

This gyro is much more sensitive to gain adjustments than others. So you'll need to play with the gain settings to find the sweet spot. You may need to move the servo horn ball link in a hole (or two) depending on where it's at now. Also make sure the linkage is all smooth. Bearings ok on the tail and any other possible mechanical issue back there.

Once mine was setup it holds tail first flight and tail slides for me just fine. I think I like my Futaba 520 better but this one holds well and I may be able to get more out of it by spending more time with setup. I know it's capable of holding the tail steady on your R30 thought.

Thanks I'll work with it. Just seems that 6 Volts drives it nuts. I've checked everything. I have it pretty much squared away on 4.8. Seems like a freshly charged pack just freaks it out till the voltage drops a bit. The weird part is the other 3 servos don't seem to care as far as voltage just the tail. I've never run across this with nay other system.
