My gyro has a switch for analog or digital servos, my question is, can any receiver use digital and analog servos, or do you need a receiver made just for digital and another for analog servos.

Any receiver will work with digital or analog servos. You need to make sure the switch on the gyro is correct for the type of tail servo you have.............Ron

+1 on that. a gyro set to digital will burn up an analog servo so make sure you match them up. The other servos are your preference.

Gyros set to digital have a higher frame rate going to refresh the servo to increase its holding power. Rather than 70 odd frames per second of position info to the servo they send 250 or 333 frames per second. This will damage an analog servo.
Receivers send at standard analog rates. The only exception that I am aware of is the new Futaba "HS" type FASST receivers which if set to high speed mode require digital servos on the cyclic channels.
