I found that my TP1010 w/ TP210 balancer only charges the batteries to 4.18v or 4.19v to each cells only. Meanwhile, Hyperion EOS 1210i w/LBA10net can charge up to 4.20v to each cells.

Does anyone know why?

Thanks!!

Technically no charger can charge a lipo to exactly 4.2V per cell because that is impossible without having the voltage go higher than 4.2V during the charge. Depending on the settings, the resting voltage of a charged lipo should be around 4.18V. Of course there are settings that can get you closer to 4.2V but it will take much longer to charge.

What mode is your charger in? The TP-1010C has 4 modes, but obviously it's not in storage mode. Make sure it's in 100%/Full Charge mode.

I tried TP1010 and Hyperion chargers, TP1010 can only charge to 4.18v/4.19v meanwhile Hyperion can charge up to 4.19v/4.20v ... surely Hyperion can charge closer to 4.2v to each cell than TP1010C and batteries charged by Hyperion can run a BIT longer.

I don't know which model I am using. Where can I check it out? I bought it like 2-3yrs ago from Canada. Can I upgrade it?

Yes easily, you DL the latest firmware for free from Thunder Power RC. You need the upload cable of course, if you have that then you can always have their latest firware, software for their chargers works really good.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Yes, A123 support was added several years ago.
