Would this work on my dilapidated V2?

My lhs said it will not. I looked at the sport frame with belt and the pro with TT. The frame width is quite different between the two, as are the holes for the tail block mount. Could it be shaved down to somehow fit? Maybe but I'd go TT (just got my kit a few days ago, yippee!!!) and stock up on s few spare gear sets.

I decided I'm too lazy to wait a month for it to get here then rebuild my heli when I barely have time to fly it. It peaked my curiosity however.

I asked the seller, the seller replied that it will fit but would require new landing gear.

check the sport belt and pro TT side by side, you'll see what I'm talking about.

If you are referring to the alignment nub, I installed a sport tail on my V2(my tail was shot) and ended up grinding off the alignment nub, even though it was very close to lining up with the hole in the very old align carbon boom that is on it.

If you are referring to using the sport boom mount on the pro frame, that wouldn't be necessary since that clone frame has some sort of retrofitted belt drive in the boom mount.

well, that, and the width of the boom mounts are different, as are the mounting holes. Personally I wouldn't mind going to belt on my new pro, as I know how easy is is to strip the TT gears...

On the other hand, my first crash on my V1 was due to a slipping belt, and that same heli went down again with its new owner, also with a belt problem Maybe I'll just stick with my torque tube as well and KEEP THE TAIL OUT OF THE GRASS!

I dont see why the width of the boom mount matters when the frame comes with a boom mount or "boom holder".

I thought the pro frame with a belt drive was intriguing. The V2 is worth more to me something to put flight time on than what I would get for it in dollars. If I were going to put significant $$ into anything for this heli it would be a few 45C battery packs.
