voltage x amps = watts. watts / 746 = horsepower.

Correct
voltage x amps = watts, watts x .00134 = HP (1Watt = .00134HP)

Either formula will work I prefer this one.

Watts also comes into play when charging. Example to charge a 3S 2200mAh battery at 2C you would need a charger capable of at least 50W Formula (2.2 x 2)x11.1=48.84 .... 1C x 2 x Pack Voltage = Watts Needed

I only need one!

Next you'll need to learn about "C" rating.

"C" Rating
When someone is talking about charging at 1C, 2C, etc they are talking about the AMP rating they set the charge to. If for example you take a 2200mAh pack to get 1C of any pack take the mAh rating and divide by 1000; fomula: mAh / 1000 = 1C, which would give you 2.2 and at this point you can just mutiply to get the other C ratings.

The "C" rating on a battery, example 30C, is talking about the maximum current supply capability as a multiple of the cell's capacity. Formula: 1C * C Rating = Amp so a 2200mAh 30C pack can produce 66Amp.

I only need one!
