Curtain Call
You need one last, short, video segment. In that segment simply stand, take a bow, and say "You are welcome." because we are all saying thanks.

"Pay attention...lest the ground rise up and smite thee."

Some people think that Scott was brave in showing us the tricks of the trade. Well when I saw all the equipment needed, I was thinking their is no way I'm getting into doing this. Scott has painted a few canopies for me and they all looked great. Thanks Scott.

Great Work Scott and Thanks.

In covering planks in my younger days, I found that a surgical
hobby knife like an Uber Skiver #11 blade had a sharper edge
than an Exacto #11 blade. Model Airplane News used to sell the
Uber Skiver knife sets and blades. I no longer have a good source
for the Uber blades and will have to modify some #11 stainless
steel surgical blades to fit the Uber Skiver handles.

Why I use the Uber Skiver hobby knife?
#1) requires less pressure to cut.
#2) stays sharper longer than Exacto
#3) allows for increase detail and control of blade.

Wow! now that was very cool. I'll still send all my canopies to Scott but if I decide to get creative now I know where to start. Good job man.

Scott,

That was incredible!! I have painted my own canopies and after watching your vids, realized where I went wrong with many of the small things that you covered. With that said, I'll still order from you because painting is a whole nother hobby that takes alot of time and patience to perfect!! Excellent job, and thanks for sharing your experience!!

Thanks to all for your responses
I had no idea that this would be so well received. I am very happy to have been able to share something that I love doing with all of you. Please feel free to pm me with any questions that you have because I am not supposed to reply to questions on this thread as per advertising rules but will gladly reply to your pms. I will start on the advanced video next week and it should take me a couple weeks to get it up. I will either post it here or start a new post. I would love for Mark to make a sticky of this in the painting section but I doubt he will. Mark will move this thread in a few days probably to the vendors section so you can look for it there for now.
Enjoy and I would love to see some canopy pics of your own custom paints. Thanks.

Did he crash? Dang I missed it!
