I bought the Dynatron starter, Min Air batt. platform, 2-3 cell lipos and a Robbe 6mm shaft. I wanted to attach the Robbe directly to the starter shaft. I removed the cup from the shaft of my Dynatron and am not seeing how to afix the Robbe to the shaft. It works ok with the hobbico that has the pin thru the starter shaft to hold the Robbe along with the set screw but this is not the case with the Dynatron.

I really do not like using the starter shaft with a cup.

Any help would be great.

I found another post that talked about filing the threads off the starter shaft and that worked. I also filed a flat spot for the set screw. The Robbe does wobble slightly but work fine under load.

I'm using the Dynatron and the Robbe. I just use it with the cup since I have to use to start an occasional plank as well. Works for me. The key is to make sure the starter is stopped before removing it from the heli after starting.

I used a file on the threads. I applied the file to the threads and turned the starter on to file the shaft. I took a little at a time until the Robbe attached. You will have to use a dremel to make a flat spot on the shaft also for the set screw on the Robbe.

Let me know if you have any questions.

honestly , ive had a couple different shafts on mine and they all have the slightest bit of wobble. now i dought my starter used but considering you are attaching one long shaft to another moving fixture i kinda expected that.
