Ive always wanted to try it just to see how hard it really is

If you only have to bend over once to pick it up it's a good landing.

How cool is that! In an old "MASH" heli on top of just flying a heli.

That is the same type of heli I did my first lesson in. It was a Bell 47G. It was actually pretty easy to fly for me. The instructor didn't believe it was my first time. I was flying and landing after only about 20 minutes of training. Granted I was also attending fixed wing flight school at the time, so I was "flying" almost every day.

About 4 months later I took a lesson in a R22. Holy Crap! Night and day difference. I couldn't for the life of me hover that R22 for more than a few seconds.

Congrats on the lesson! It's pretty amazing to be able to just land about anywhere you want! I would have pursued helicopters if they weren't so dang expensive to learn, and the possibilities of flying them for a job weren't so limited.

Yup -- congrats, Max. Just wait til you get yourself some seat time in an R22 though -- a whole new ball game.
