Here it is with all of the details and antennas as compared to how it comes from Century heli. I'm trying to get it as close to scale as possible and the last 10% will be the 4 bladed head.

I recently added the lighting package true to scale for this bird as well as scale painted tail blades and the rest of the antennas.

I hope to be able to afford the 4 blade head from RC aerodyne this spring sometime to finish it off.

Hers how it comes and what I've done to it, flying pics to come.

Scale gear
Hey Doc,

I've thought long and hard about scale gear, but have run into some problems. Firstly, the cutouts for the mains doesnt allow for functioning oleo struts the cutouts are just too short. The nose gear also has the cutout so that a straight wire for the gear wouldnt work since the opening allows for the nose wheel to go into the fuse too far forward.

I also sourced some rubber treaded wheels from hobby lobby that were the right size but they didn't have enough oomph to support the weight of the helo without squashing all the way down and flattening the tire. All the other rubber wheels I have found were either too large or didnt look right.

Thanks for the pics Doc, youve got me thinkin about changing the gear now. Perhaps some gear that look scale, but without the oleo struts since I'm space limited.
