Are there any recommondations on tail servos to fit on a 700 size heli with a JR770 gyro? My first choice would be the JR s8900G as per the recommendation of the original owner.
I'm not having alot of luck determining the torque in oz-inches recommended for larger helis. I've read good things about the Savoy SH-1290MG digital, but unsure if it's got the muscle. The MKS BLS 980 is plenty fast but runs only 34OZ-IN @4.8V stall torque. The Futaba 9254 at 4.8V runs only 28 OZ-IN.
I'm open to all suggestions. The advice of the owner was to spend the extra money and get the 8900G because he learned the hard way that everything else he tried burned out. I value and intend to take his advice, but I would still like to know how many OZ-inches of torque it takes to swing a 700 size tail with authority and which servos can handle 6V and which can only take 4.8V.

Thanks,
Don

The tail servo requires very little torque. Any of the good tail servos on the market will work fine. The 8900G is excellent and so is the Align tail servo that comes with the kit.
