I absolutely love the build quality of MA products! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I was just wondering, is the canopy made (not just painted) by MA or Canomod? Not that it makes any difference either way, just wondering if Canomod is going to start supplying canopies to MA and possibly other brands.

Not that I really know, but...... I believe CanoMod is making and painting them for MA. In addition, they will 'custom' paint a Fury 55 canopy for something like $150.

150 for custom isn't bad, I'm sure they will also have their standard paints jobs as well.

If I ordered a plain white canopy is it going a be a canomod or MA? Just curious.

Shim, i saw your build pics. No governor? No voltage regulator? I just finished my build today.

Futaba BLS 451 servos
Spartan Quark Gyro
Aspire Multigov
Scott Gray ReactorX Regulator
Futaba 9256 on the tail
**i had a Ys 50St motor and decided to rebuild it and put it on the heli instead of OVERPAYING for a 55 motor. its $100 more than a 50 and theres no difference you will notice. It just has a little more torque so you could push slightly bigger blades, big deal. If i want big blades ill fly my 90s. Both motors have identical RPMs (2000- 20,000), the 55 motor has a HP rating or 2.1 at 17,000 RPM where the 50 has a HP rating of 1.9 at 17,000. YOU WILL NOT NOTICE a .2 HP rating difference and its not worth $300. For a few dollars more you could get a YS 91ST.

Check my small review of the Fury 55 on the other fury 55 post

Have you tried a OS55HZ yourself? Im not sure why you would say big deal? Its a completely different engine that the old hyper & not only make a little more power but also makes a better smoother power. Its like night & day IMO.

Sorry to go off topic just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

I am running the 7100R reciever which has a build in rev limiter and reg for the gyro/tail servo. It makes for a nice clean setup. In addition, I have a switchglo mounted under the radio tray.

We weighed Steven's flight ready Fury55 last night. It was just under 7.5lb on my scale with canopy. We weighed my 600N and I forgot... I didn't have the canopy on it and it came in just a smidge under 8lbs. The 600N had a header tank though so it was kind of a wash.

Looks like the Fury55 is definitely on the light side. That's a major plus.

OS,s biggest problem is that it uses muffler pressure. Bad on a fuel magnet and less power than crankcase pressure. Thats why a YS will always have more power than an OS because of the crankcase pressure, and thats why OS is eliminating using muffler pressure and even a pump i heard (so said Kammerer on http://www.smacktalkrc.com) and following YS with its crankcase pressure design.

PS,
i posted pics of my final build and my opinion of how it flies on the other fury55 thread

That's about to change starting with the OS 91 HZ-R.

How does the use of regulated crankcase pressure increase the power of an engine? Not the consistency, the power?

How much more power do you expect the HZ-R will make over the current OS HZ PS or PSII?

Ben,
That's hilarious. The sad part though is that someone is actually going to try to answer it as if you were serious.
