Dino, you said the 550/620 are still in production. They are no longer listed on the ace hobby site and are basically impossible to get. Any news on the electric front that I am unaware of?

Thanks

I saw that also. Sounds like he is saying that ACE will be getting in another big shipment soon. There are a lot of local flyers that see my E550 and E620 fly and want to know where they can get one.

There is definitely a huge market for mid size electrics. I can’t believe that TT/ACE has not jumped on the very popular 500 size electric market. Almost everyone seams to have one. Even the hard core nitro flyers usually have one stashed away somewhere to go for a quick flight.

Thanks,

From that post it looked like Ace was planning another production run of the 550/620 kits in the (I assume near) future. Any info on when this might be, and if this would be a substantial run? Other than ebay, I cannot find a retailer with any kits available. I am a bit surprised that there have not been continuous production runs for these kits, they seemed pretty poplular, and you can't beat raptor reliability. It seems like if the kits aren't available there would be a direct impact on demand due to perceived lack of support.

If you guys do another run I will order one.

Thanks again

I agree, now that the summer flying season is getting going they need to have them for sale. When I fly my E550 or E620 I get questions all the time like “where can I purchase one of those” and “does it come in a RTF version”. ACE is really missing out on a lot of sales by not having them on store shelves.

It's kind of funny...I remember the first day this topic posted. I was all wild for this new X50. Now checking up on it every now and then to see a release date or even an update. But it seems everyone has forgotten about it and talking about different heli's.

This is my opinion, I am a TT user, but, I felt that TT are spending a lot of time regarding the competition.
In January we see information of the X50, 5 months ago, we don't know anything else, only two testing videos, 1 electronic brochoure and a few photos, but, release date, price.................nothing
For example, for me FBL will be the future, all brands are making FBL electronics or heads, but TT nothing.. I don't understand why we don't have a TT FBL rotor head.
Another thing are the electrics models, we have a lot of new birds in the class 550, 600 and 700, but again TT are not doing anything.
Realy, I don't understand the marketing and the engineering strategy from TT

This is only my opinion, and I do this because I am a happy TT user.

Christian

Well I guess I can at least answer to the fbl head question.

Since TT uses flybar above the rotor blade holders you actually do not need a fbl head. You just remove the flybar control arms, seesaw and flybar itself and re-route your links to swash directly, viola.

I saw someone flying with raptor 90 SE which was converted to fbl with all stock parts. It was just good.

Also as far as I know rondo flybarless system is either produced by TT or have some kind of other relationship with TT.

So, it's good that we do not have to spend 100$ for a new rotor head as we already have one which can be both anytime .

Do understand TT does not only make helis so maybe they are content with other avenues for now but as always when they do put something on the market it is rite . TT doesn't use us as test pilots

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

It should be something like this. So yes you can do this with every raptor rotor head. Raptor 50 titan se fits.

Isn't that the QuickUK 90 head ? The grip links dont extend to the main shaft centre on the 50 so it wont work. For FBL, you want zero delta.
