Here's an older Intrepid canopy. I don't know what the blue is cause it was there when I got it, but the red and yellow is the Pactra formula U that most people hate.

looks good to me.
This time I just cant justify spending over 150 bucks to have a painted canopy.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

You might want to reinforce the inside of the MA canopy with some additional fiberglass or CF tape so that you will be able to sand it between coats without cracking the paint.

I remember in my plank days to lay some fiberglass fabric to the wing center area and brush on epoxy. Is that the what I should do to the canopy,,fiberglass cloth and epoxy?

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

My first spectra canopy split it's seam.. was a common problem back then. and worth the small amount of extra work to lay fine matt and resin over that seam for safety. the if really going for perfection you scrub the current finish with fine wet sanding, fill any seam marks with knifing putty and re-sand before your base coat - which has to be suitable for flexible surfaces.. look at what you have locally as primers/undercoats for bumpers (sorry fenders to you).

Aftre that is depends what;s avaiable locally and how fancy you want to get.. a matt silver undercoat can give a little more shine through if good at thin coats and you can even waft short bursts of a sparkle coat..let a draught carry it.. over parts of the canopy top coat to give added sparkle...

..or find a young girl with short dress exposing her panties and rob her handbag of some body sparkle stuff to varnish on...<sorry mind wandering now...>
