Seems to be that the price on this engine hasn't budged since it was released. This is disappointing to say the least!

Now why would they drop the price when evryone is paying 300 bucks for .3 hp more than OS50. That motor should have never been more than 250 when it came out.

Where are the 50 size engines?
I went to two of my favorite on line distributors and they do not show the OS or YS 50's, just the 55 and 56. What is up with that?

LOL while the engine manufacturers are all scrambling to make the bigger engines I'm struggling to find a good OS32!

They are behind the times. Nitro gas is too expensive to go bigger than they already have.

They'd best adapt. I'm SERIOUSLY thinking about going full electric and gas over the cost of Nitro. Bigger displacement engines are just pushing me that direction MORE!

Seriously, where are the options in the nitro world for someone who doesn't want to spend insane money? And now it's hard to get your hands on a 50? Man.

It is completly redicoulos if you ask me.I think they make them but the onlineshops just do not stock them anymore. I am also thinking about a nice Gasser and screw the fuelcost of Nitro!!

I still donmt see myself going back to lipo as I remeber throwing 450 bucks in batteries away in 1 month.and I thoughjt offshore fishing was expence.

Where do you get your nitro?
@Aaron29

Where do you buy your heli fuel?

Xtreme hobbies seem like the only game in town and they rarely have heli fuel. I'm right with you on nitro pricing tho!

Aaron29, The 55HZ doesnt burn any more fuel then the hyper 50 did. If anything it burns less, and yes, I am dead serious. Many others have reported the same findings.

It may burn the same amount but that does not change the fact that pricing is getting a bit out of hand for a 50 size. I fly 50 because I don't want to afford a 90. How does Os justifie the price of the 55?? gold bearings made out of moonstone??if someone comes out with a nice gasser I will buy one.

YES, that is the point.

You can buy a OS60 for $259, but a OS55 wil cost you $300. When does that make sense.

And the price of parts for an OS55, what is up with that?

I expected/hoped for the price of this engine to be under $200 by April at the latest. I'm not coughing up THAT much for this engine, especially since I have 2 hypers. I had PLANNED on selling them and getting the 55HZ, but sheesh, this is nuts!
