I swear here in Alabama we have been lucky to experience possibly two weekends in a row for the past 5 months that have been fly-worthy. Rain incessantly plagued us all through the summer and has carried over into the winter as well(there is no escaping it). I seem to recall for september 2009 the sun was seen rarely if at all. Is it just here in the "sunny" south that we are experiencing this or is it everywhere? The not so amusing aspect of it all is that there are sunny days during the week but being a working stiff for five days in a row before you are free for two days slightly stacks the odds agsinst you. I need some other stories of lament to counter my growing feelings of disdain for my home state's climate which I'm starting to question if it may in fact be the worst place to live if you love to fly.

Flew here in atlanta yesterday, visibility was horrible with the gray sky, but you take every chance you can get right now.

Thinking about coating the heli in rain-x just to be able to fly.

In MD, the winter has been a bit windy but it was a great summer and fall. Less wind than I recall in years. Or maybe I'm just not bothered by it. I'm mostly a weekday morning or lunchtime flyer but I have been flying more this winter than last. But weekends have been hit or miss.

I'm thinking of holding a weatherman hostage and ransoming him for a sunny weekend. Sunny doesn't do me any good on a Tuesday.

You should all feel very lucky you don't have to deal with Seattle weather. 9 months of drizzle! If my job wasn't such a good one I would consider moving.

Had nice weather today in So California.
After a solid week of rain today was nice and sunny, maybe 60degrees
but warm in the sun and NO wind, perfect flying day.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

You have been lucky here just north of Montreal, Quebec. Flew both days for the last two week-ends.

YES!First the arctic front kept it below freezing for a few weeks and then once it warmed up, the weekends got rained on. I have not flown in about a month and even then it was only a couple flight till my hands were numb. Very frustrating.

The weather here in Spokane Washington has been pretty darn good considering what it normally is.It has been sunny skies with highs in th mid to upper fortys for the last week or two. Maybe luck will stay with us.
