I'm trying to replace the springs in a High Standard Shadow which I believe was manufactured around 1980, maybe earlier. Anyway the springs are all worn out and it tends to double feed the shells, and the firing pin spring is weak(was probably left cocked for years). I'm trying to avoid taking it to a gunsmith because I don't feel like paying the labor fee for something that I can do. The problem is that no one makes springs specifically for this shotgun anymore. Is my best option just buying a Wolf variety pack? My concern is that it will not include the springs I need. The spring length is not important as long as they aren't too short. The diameter and gauge is what I need to be correct. I can trim the spring length if need be. Thanks for any suggestions.

msc.com or mcmaster-carr.com Either have compression springs of various lengths and stiffness. Hope this helps!

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack, but the thread title sure sounds like the perfect name for a small town out west: Shotgun Springs
