Yes you do. It is easy done Hope this helps. You need to remove the sleeve first, then the piston, and then the crankshaft.

It's actually not that bad to replace the rear bearing. Pull the head, piston, sleeve, crank, and carb off. (Do the next part when the wife isn't home ) Put the crank case in the oven(that's why you pull the carb) on 250 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. Pull it out and lightly tap the back of crank case on a piece of wood and the rear bearing should fall right out. To get the front bearing also just use a deep well socket with an extension and tap it with a hammer from the inside and it will pop out the front. To assemble just do the opposite. Oh and be sure the piston, sleeve and conrod all go back facing the same directions they were

Depleting the world of parts, one crash at a time!!

Go easy when installing that ring back on the piston. Walk it around the piston, do not try and pry it apart enough to slide over. Also, when you install the piston and ring back into the liner, don't foget to line up the ring gap on the tiny pin inside the ring groove. Then give it a wiggle when its going into the piston, if it feels like its not going, don't force it. Remove it and try again, a light drop of triflow helps slide it in. Good luck!
