Just finished the setup. But I have some strange swash values. Just looking to see if this is the norm for JR TX's, and the Align FBL unit

The instructions give an example for Futaba 12 channel. it says 60 X 60 X 38

I have 76 X 84 X 42. and I'm getting +- 12 degrees, all the way around...

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.
It's ***ked!!!

The values in the manual are merely a guide, don't take it as gospel.

If you're getting the desired collective & cyclic with different values than the manual recommends then so be it.

Apparently the 3G calculates a cyclic ring according to the aileron swash mix value, so changing the elevator value has no effect.
Set the cyclic pitch by the aileron swash mix & just use the same value for elevator.

funny you should mention that. i still havent had a chance to get a maiden on my unit. but, i've been going over the manual.

you can read the portion of the manual on p.10 that would seem to indicate only setting the aileron swash mix (which i thought very odd). but, then right below that in the example settings for the 12ZH it clearly shows an elevator swash mix value entered.

my feeling is that they simply omitted the instruction for rotating the blades perpindicular to the airframe and setting elevator swash.

but, again this is just gut feeling since i havent been able to fly yet.

can anyone confirm or deny?

if it ain't broke, break it.

I'm confused now . I left my Aileron and Elevator at 50 (default). The only thing I adjusted was the pitch to get the 12 degrees. Is this ok?

dRaptor, it depends if your readings are 12 degrees in CICLIC (NOT COLLECTIVE) with 50% swash as default its perfect otherwise you need to lower/higher the value.
